1) Religious liberty is always under attack, usually by competing religions. The freedom to hold any religious beliefs - or none - is one of our fundamental freedoms, and the law shouldn't interfere with the exercise of peaceful religious customs or opinions. 2) Marriage is a matter for the Church, not the State. The contractual obligations and benefits of marriage, though, should be available to all. Who we choose as family is not subject to a vote. 3) Until a child is born, it must be considered the property of the woman who carries and nourishes it. To suggest otherwise is to support the eventual legal enslavement of women, with monthly pregnancy tests, dietary restrictions, and a slurry of rules for all fertile women the logical conclusion. 4) Trying to get rich quick by gambling may be stupid, but it shouldn't be illegal. 5) The moral and legal questions are much more important than any economic benefits. The Drug War is clearly unconstitutional, since people have a God-given right to decide for themselves what they will eat, drink, or smoke. 6) Forced prostitution is nothing more than serial rape, and I oppose it. That's why I support the repeal of all laws prohibiting the sale of sexual favors, giving both sex workers and customers the protection of the law. Only legalized prostitution and repectable brothels will drive the traffickers out of business.
